Stittsville is a suburban hamlet located in the city of Ottawa, which is located in the province of Ontario. The area was a part of the Goulbourn Township in the past. Stittsville is located directly to the southwest of Kanata, near to Richmond, and approximately 20 kilometres (12 miles) to the west of Downtown Ottawa. It is a component of the National Capital Region. In terms of the Ottawa City Council, the urban portion of the community is represented by the Stittsville Ward. High schools in the area include Sacred Heart Catholic High School, Frederick Banting Secondary Alternate Program, and École secondaire catholique Paul-Desmarais. The area is served by three different school boards: the Ottawa Catholic School Board, the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, and the Centre-East French Catholic School Board.

Stittsville is a suburban community, part of the Canadian capital of Ottawa, Ontario. It is within the former Goulbourn Township. A part of the National Capital Region, Stittsville is immediately to the southwest of Kanata, adjacent to Richmond and about 20 km (12 mi) west of Downtown Ottawa. The urban part of the community corresponds to Stittsville Ward on Ottawa City Council and has been represented by Glen Gower since 2018. As of 2021, Stittsville ward had a population of 40,889.
