Orleans (/rlinz/; French: [le]; officially and in French Orléans[1][note 1]) is an Ottawa, Ontario, Canada suburb. It is located in the city’s east end, along the Ottawa River, some 16 kilometres (10 miles) from downtown Ottawa. The population of Orléans was 125,937 according to the Canada 2021 Census. Prior to its incorporation into Ottawa in 2001, the community of Orléans was divided into two municipal authorities, the eastern section in the pre-amalgamation City of Cumberland and the western portion in the City of Gloucester. According to the 2021 census, the Cumberland section of Orleans had 75,453 residents, while the Gloucester portion had 50,484 residents. Orléans now includes the municipal wards of Orléans, Innes, and Cumberland. Orléans has a sizable francophone population.

According to the 2021 census, 75,453 people lived in the Cumberland portion of Orleans, while 50,484 people lived in the Gloucester portion.
